（中央社記者劉麗榮台北5日電）前總統馬英九今天參加馬祖國際馬拉松賽事，臉書開直播分享，馬英九說，馬祖能辦國際馬拉松相當不容易，有來自紐西蘭、澳洲、肯亞和中國大陸選手，對體育運動發展很有幫助。
2016第二屆馬祖國際馬拉松上午登場，馬英九與連江縣長劉增應等人擔任鳴槍起跑嘉賓，並穿著賽事的迷彩運動服參賽，編號是「1919」。
馬英九也在臉書開直播分享，馬英九說，很高興能參加第二屆馬祖馬拉松賽事，馬祖是距離台灣非常遠的外島，能夠舉辦國際馬拉松相當不容易，今天共有1500人參加，包括來自紐西蘭、澳洲、肯亞和中國大陸的選手，相信對體育運動發展很有幫助，希望大家跑完全程、跑出健康。
連江縣政府舉辦「馬祖國際馬拉松賽」導入最夯路跑活動，提倡全民運動參與，結合馬祖戰地風光與地方人文特色，促進地方觀光發展，1500名額很快額滿。
本屆賽事首創坑道賽道，馬祖防衛司令部首次釋出南北坑道開放民眾通行，南北坑道全長230公尺，過去是軍方貯存彈藥和裝甲車存放用途，地點隱密，成為路跑賽事的一大亮點。1051105
